A full-time college student, part-time tutor, multi-band musician, and volunteer, Willow’s days are long—often 12 to 15 hours when classes are in session. “It keeps me busy,” she says, “and limits how much I have to go back and forth between home and campus.”

Isiah starts most days with three simple goals: “Ride my bike, move around, try to help people.” Staying positive is his priority, and his bike helps him do just that.

We love any opportunity to get out on our bikes, but that’s not the (only) reason we organized a team to participate in the 2025 KeyBank Gran Fondo.

“I work hard for everything. Everything I get, everything I do, I work hard.” James works hard at the manufacturing job he loves, works hard at the gym after his shift, and works hard to prove that he’s not the same person he was when he went to prison.

On a typical day, you could find 24-year-old Donshay doing some of the things he enjoys the most: riding his bike, working, fixing cars, playing with his son, and spending time with the community he has built at AYA Youth Collective.

Just after celebrating Upcycle Bikes’ second anniversary, we gathered with 230 supporters from across the community for Pedals for Progress 2024 on September 18 at Embassy Suites.
